Shellfish is one of my favorite dishes ..... here you have real shells from Brittany fresh out of the ocean.
Brittany is a special region from the rest of France, along with Wales, Scotland, Ireland and Galicia in Spain the only regions with populations of Celtic origin.
It is a region famous for mussels and oysters whose industrialized growth is conducive due to high tides.
Mussels are usually cooked in white wine with onions and herbs or "à la crème" with sour cream.

Ingredient:

Method of preparation

This weekend was definitely a delight for the Italian-style taste buds. Today I ended the day with Italian-style mussels, or colza soup. Of course, the Italians have a lot of ways to prepare mussels, this being just one of them, but definitely among the most delicious!

First of all you have to clean the mussels very well under running water with a wire sponge. You will notice that some of them have a kind of silk that you have to remove. Mussels that are open mean they are dead and you have to remove them because you do not want to eat them.

For this preparation I used the wonderful Multicooker pot, but of course you can also use a deep frying pan, although the flavors are much better kept in the Multicooker.

Put a few tablespoons of olive oil and crushed garlic cloves in the pot with the knife blade. Be careful not to burn the garlic, add it to the pot with the oil and cook over low heat.

When the garlic starts to take on color, add the tomato sauce and the chilli sauce. Then add the mussels and a little chilli. After a minute, pour the wine.

I then closed the lid and left for another 3 minutes. Do not leave the mussels for more than 3 minutes, as they have very tender meat! You can remove closed mussels at this stage.

After 3 minutes have elapsed, add the juice of half a lemon and the chopped parsley, not very small.

Heat a skillet with a grill, and when it is well heated, pull on one side and on the other, for 1-2 minutes, until the slices of bread become a little crispy on the outside. You can also put them in the oven and you can sprinkle them with a little olive oil. I chose the lighter version. :)

The intensity of the flavors makes this preparation a delicacy that must be tried not only when you arrive in Italy. Now it's much easier with Philips Multicooker!
